How to reach Padua (Padova)

 

By car:


Highway Venice - Milan (A4)

exit at Padua East (Padova Est) if coming from Venice

exit at Padua West (Padova Ovest) if coming from Milan


Highway Bologna - Padua (A13)

exit at Padua South (Padova Sud)

 

Then follow the indications additionally provided by your hotel.

Keep in mind that the historic city centre and some other parts of the city are closed to traffic.




 

By plane:

From here Padua can be reached in the following ways:

 

·          by taxi, journey around 40-60 min, through two services:

o        RADIOTAXI: calling the number +39 049 8704425 at least 24 hours before, in order to book a shuttle service (Air Service). Reservation can be done online at http://www.taxipadova.com/

o        LANDOMAS: similar to the previous, the number to be called is +39 049 8808505, E-mail: landomas@landomas.it .

 

·          by bus: there is a public service (SITA buses) departing every half an hour from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. during working days and with different timetables during weekends. The buses arrive in Padova autostazione (last stop), in via G. Gozzi, close to the Arena Gardens and the city centre. Bus tickets can be bought in shops and cafes.

·          by train:

o        a shuttle bus runs from the airport to Mestre railway station (ATVO navetta flybus) and from here a train must be caught to Padua, journey around 25 min.

o        the public bus ACTV n. 15 takes you to Mestre railway station too:

VERONA Airport (Valerio Catullo)

A shuttle service (Aerobus) is available from the airport to Verona train station, all days and every 20 minutes. From here a train must be caught to Padua, journey around 45 min.

 

Treviso (Venice-Treviso) Airport (Canova)

Ryanair and Transavia buses take you directly to Venice, NOT to Padua.

To reach Padua, exit the airport area and cross the main street (via Noalese): a public bus stop can be easily found. The blu buses (SITA buses) take you to Padua (Padova Autostazione) in about 1 hour, running from about 5.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. every 30 min. A bus ticket can be bought in the small café to the right of the bus stop (looking from the airport).

 

By train (Padova train station):

The train station is at a walking distance from the city centre; additionally, the metro-bus and other buses are available and stop in front of the train station area.
